I kinda feel badly for my former colleague, ex-Vianteer David Rose, whose Ambient Devices is now facing stiff competition from a WiFi rabbit. From France no less. It’s called Nabaztag, which is an Armenian name (Hitler and Ataturk are rolling around in their graves right now, I’m sure), and it can be paired with another WiFi bunny and used to communicate across GREAT distances. Which is awesome. And why I would buy this over David’s device? Cos it has emotion. Emotional content, as Bruce Lee once said. That makes it worth putting on the desk, the kitchen table, even the sanctum sanctorum: the bedroom. What’s next, a WiFi Bear? Pig? A Doughboy? Think of the possibilities. It’ll replace the bobblehead doll! WiFi Manneken Pis, even!
