[...] Everything is Design has this brilliant travel tip. If you have a cell phone, such as the Motorola RAZR, that has a charger with the 4 pin USB connector (common for connecting digital cameras to computers), you can use this same connector instead of bringing your charger along too! This way it simply charges off of the laptop. Of course, this is assuming you are bringing your laptop with you. We do, as it doubles as our DVD player. [...]

I love this idea! Thanks for sharing. We have Macs and I love how their design is so streamlined across their product offerings.

Yeah, it is a bit scary, but originally I found this solution when I was using the sync cable from the phone to the laptop to transfer pictures, and saw that when I plugged it in, it started charging while transferring data. So, why not, right?

I always thought I noticed something familiar about my blackberry's plug. Given that I live in fear of all things cell phone oriented, I'm with K on this one though. I'll lug my cat-o-nine-plugs until I gain the courage to try this one out. It should work - I believe the usb sync cable goes into that plug anyway.

I haven't done that yet, but it's something I live in fear of doing.
