In essence, there is no easy way to migrate content from this blog to the way that HostMySite has it setup on my domain name, save painstakingly exporting using the built-in RSS feed generator for each archive page, then importing them back into the new blog which was itself a learning process.
But that work took two evenings and we’re now going to make a formal divide: this blog is becoming exclusively my user experience work blog, and “For Nothing and No Reason” is going to be the personal blog, which features all the non-user experience stuff I have been blogging about on here: what I’ve been listening to, Chicago stuff, Asian American stuff, food, travel, technology.
I’m also going to start expanding the categories on here and deleting the non-UX/design centric content over time since it’s duplicated on FNANR. It’s going to be a bit rough over there, but, that’s the nature of transitions. In the end I think I’ll be happier and it’ll work out better for everyone. In addition, different look and feels will be forthcoming, along with other improvements in interface and movement.
Thank you for your patience.
