The persistence of memory
Welcome to 2008. Information architects, like the library and archive sciences that spawn them, are particularly anal-retentive, or so it is commonly believed. And so, organization, retention, making order out of everyday chaos is one of our main tasks. But what does it mean for our work when we begin to externalize our memory using technology, in essence, turning ourselves into cyborgs?
